The government authority located in Madison, Wisconsin requires a contractor to provide ongoing, industry-recognized, credentialed apprenticeship and trade training services that directly align with the local labor market. The selected provider must deliver or refer participants to basic education, high school diploma or equivalency programs, tutoring, and test preparation to help them pass apprenticeship exams and improve placement test scores. The scope of work requires the contractor to work directly with trade unions and employers to train and hire participants. The contractor must maintain employer and union partnerships sufficient to create pathways to apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, unsubsidized employment, or other approved occupational placements. Additionally, the contractor must provide documented job placement assistance for participants whose goals or circumstances make apprenticeships unsuitable or unavailable.
