Bridge Replacement and Track Re-Configuration Design-Build Services

The government authority located in Queens, New York, is seeking a design-builder to provide bridge replacement and track re-configuration design-build services. The agency needs to replace an existing undergrade railroad bridge structure with a new, off-line replacement undergrade railroad bridge structure. To solve this infrastructure challenge, the agency requires the design-builder to design and construct the new bridge in accordance with all contract requirements. The scope of work covers the off-line construction of Bay Ridge 5/6 and Fremont Secondary 1/2. The project also requires environmental remediation, specifically the carting and disposal of approximately 1,500 linear feet of asbestos cabling that agency forces will first remove from high-tension poles under the bridge. The agency will provide one weekend outage of the tracks below the bridge for the demolition of the existing truss bridge. Eligibility is restricted to onshore, United States organizations only.
