Towing and Wrecker Services

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority in Fulton, Georgia requires continuous towing and wrecker services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The agency needs to resolve vehicle breakdowns and transport issues both inside and outside the Metropolitan Atlanta area. This contract will span a period of one year, with all work performed onsite in the designated service areas. The scope of work covers light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty towing services, as well as roadside assistance including tire changing, lock-out assistance, and battery charging or starting services. The agency requires the contractor to provide approved light-duty tow trucks capable of towing vehicles with a combined gross vehicle weight of 14,000 pounds or less. Contractors must also provide approved medium-duty tow trucks with the capacity to tow vehicles weighing between 10,001 and 25,999 pounds. Eligibility is restricted to onshore contractors operating within the United States. The agency is seeking budget proposals from interested bidders to determine the cost of these services. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 9, 2026, to address project requirements and answer questions.
