Enhanced Commissioning Services

The Town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, requires a commissioning firm to provide enhanced commissioning services. The selected vendor must interface with the architect, design consultants, and the construction manager at risk to coordinate the design and construction phases. This initiative aims to ensure all building systems function efficiently, meet code requirements, and support indoor environmental quality. The scope of work covers all systems that consume energy, affect indoor environmental quality, support life safety, or are required for code compliance. Specifically, the project includes the building envelope, building automation system and controls, electrical and power distribution systems, utility monitoring and control systems, and irrigation systems. The service provider must assist with the development of the owner's project requirements, develop a commissioning plan, and perform commissioning submittal reviews. The agency is limiting eligibility to onshore vendors located within the United States. The selected contractor must perform all work onsite in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The contract period will span one year, and the agency is currently seeking proposals to determine the budget and pricing structure.
