Subsurface Utility Engineering Services

The Town of Morrisville, North Carolina, is seeking subsurface utility engineering services to identify and map underground infrastructure. The agency is trying to solve the problem of inaccurate or incomplete utility records by verifying the exact horizontal locations of existing underground lines. The selected provider will coordinate with utility companies to secure record drawings, plats, and maps, and then resolve any discrepancies between those records and field findings. The scope of work requires designating, recording, and marking the horizontal location of existing underground utilities with a horizontal accuracy of +/- 1.5 feet. The provider must also deliver recommendations for subsequent, more detailed investigations when the agency deems it necessary. Performance of all contracted work will take place offsite. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not disclosed a pre-set funding limit.
