The agency aims to increase the financial independence of Medicare beneficiaries and improve their ability to understand available health insurance options. This program serves community-based older adults aged sixty and over, as well as younger individuals who are eligible for Medicare. The selected vendor must provide eligible individuals with current, up-to-date information regarding Medicare-related issues and opportunities. The scope of work includes defining the specific health insurance problems individuals are experiencing and providing comparative analyses of supplemental insurances and prescription drug coverage. To the extent practicable, the provider must conduct appropriate follow-up to ensure that these older adults receive the needed services and remain aware of available opportunities. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based entirely in the United States. The agency requires the performance of all contracted work to occur offsite.
