ServSafe Food Manager Certification Training Services

The Alaska Department of Corrections is seeking a vendor to provide ServSafe food manager certification training services to incarcerated students. The agency needs to equip these students with the knowledge to earn the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, helping them understand food safety practices that directly affect food quality and safety. This educational initiative aims to address rehabilitation and vocational training needs within the correctional facility. The scope of work requires the selected vendor to deliver up to twelve hours of instructional training per class cycle. This instruction must cover critical food safety topics including foodborne microorganisms and allergens, personal hygiene, purchasing, receiving, storage, preparation, cooking, serving, facilities, cleaning, sanitizing, pest management, and regulatory authorities. Additionally, the vendor must proctor the certifying exams and process all necessary documentation for testing the earned certifications. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based solely in the United States. The agency requires the performance of all training and administrative work to be conducted offsite. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to determine the cost of these services.
