Transcription Services

The issuing agency is seeking a vendor to provide transcription services from English and French texts into three accessible mediums for print-impaired students. The required accessible formats are Braille, DAISY digital audio recording, and E-Text word. The vendor must cover all transcription, courier, and material costs incurred in delivering these services. For the Braille portion, the vendor must produce original Braille pages from text using computer translation. For the DAISY digital audio portion, the vendor must provide human voice transcription from print to digital audio text on CD, adhering up to the DAISY 3 standard with page, chapter heading, and major division marks, or as directed in specific work orders. The digital audio files must also include navigation indexing communicated at the beginning of the files. For the E-text word portion, the vendor must transcribe text into electronic/digital text. Eligible bidders must be located onshore in Canada, and the performance of the work must be conducted onsite. Bidders may submit their proposals digitally via email or online. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to determine the cost.
