Road Reconditioning Services

The United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service is seeking a vendor to provide road reconditioning services on parts of a national forest road located in Columbia, South Carolina. The agency requires these services to restore and maintain the integrity of the forest road infrastructure. The scope of work covers the reconditioning of ditches, shoulders, roadbeds, aggregate surfaces, or the entire roadway. The project demands specific vegetation management, including heavy brushing and mowing. Heavy brushing requires the machine and hand cutting of all brush and trees from the road shoulder for a distance of twelve feet or to the original clearing limits on both sides of the road. Mowing requires cutting grass and woody plant growth of three inches in diameter or less, at a height of four inches above the ground, extending to the existing clearing limits. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency expects the performance of the work to occur offsite. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this solicitation no later than June 18, 2026. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for cost proposals from interested parties.
