School Physician Services

The City School District of New Rochelle requires a medical group to provide school physician and chief medical officer services for a one-year contract period. The designated physician must oversee all medical services, determine duty distribution among group members, and provide a comprehensive list of specific physician assignments. This role involves managing scoliosis screening programs in coordination with school nurses and physical education staff, including the examination of all students referred from initial screenings. The medical group must supervise mandated vision and hearing testing programs and conduct annual inspections of school buildings to identify potential health hazards. The scope of work includes advising on all aspects of the school health education program and submitting a formal year-end medical report upon request. All medical services must be provided directly by the medical group, with performance occurring either onsite or offsite as required. Eligibility is restricted to organizations based within the United States. The agency is currently seeking proposals to determine the budget and cost structure for these services.
