The Cameron County tax office in Harlingen, Texas requires a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive delinquent tax collection services. The agency is seeking to resolve outstanding tax liabilities through systematic reporting, legal action, and taxpayer notification. The selected partner will manage the entire lifecycle of delinquent accounts to expedite collections and recover public funds. The scope of work covers preparing delinquent tax reports and updates based on data provided by the county tax office. The chosen provider must prepare and send legally required and advisory notices to delinquent taxpayers to encourage prompt payment. Additionally, the agency requires the filing of lawsuits against delinquent taxpayers to foreclose tax liens and facilitate collections. The provider must advise the district on legal issues arising during the collection process, including all new legislation affecting current and delinquent taxes. The agency also reserves the right to request additional services deemed advisable by district officials to expedite collections. All work will be performed offsite, and the agency is currently seeking budget proposals for these services. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States.
