RFI for Virtual Emergency Care Service

The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision in Albany, New York is seeking information to identify vendors capable of providing a virtual emergency care service. The agency needs to solve the challenge of providing immediate, round-the-clock medical evaluations for incarcerated individuals without requiring unnecessary physical transfers. This service must offer immediate access to experienced emergency medicine expertise twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and three hundred sixty-five days a year. The scope of work requires a telemedicine platform capable of supporting a rate of one thousand two hundred potential emergencies per month. The system must facilitate real-time interactions between the vendor's emergency medicine provider, the incarcerated individual, and the agency's onsite medical staff. All performance of the work will occur offsite. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine budget parameters and has not disclosed a set budget.
