Auditing Services

The City of Hanahan in Berkeley County, South Carolina, is seeking a qualified vendor to perform professional auditing services for its municipal financial records. The agency requires an independent audit of its computerized financial accounting records, which are currently maintained using the Smart Fusion Accounting Systems. This audit will cover the City's two primary funds, the General Fund and the Capital Fund, across nine distinct departments. These departments include Administration, Municipal Court, Non-Departmental, Public Works, Telecommunications, Police, Building and Codes, Fire, and Recreation and Parks. The scope of work requires the selected auditor to examine all closed and balanced accounts for the fiscal year running from July 1st to June 30th. The agency will have all accounts for all funds closed, balanced, and ready for examination on or around the third week of November of each year. The selected vendor must perform all auditing work offsite at the vendor's own office location. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency has not disclosed a set budget and is looking for proposals to determine the cost of the services. Bidders must submit any questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 18, 2026.
