Animal Control Facility Improvements Service

The City of Turlock, California, is seeking a contractor to perform facility improvements at its animal control facility. The agency needs to address deteriorating infrastructure by repairing select metal animal enclosures and replacing exterior doors and hardware at the kennel buildings. Additionally, the project requires interior renovations to the office building, which include replacing the flooring, wall base, and an existing shower with a prefabricated unit. The scope of work also encompasses exterior site improvements to enhance security and accessibility. The contractor must install a closed-circuit television security camera system to monitor the facility. Civil works include the demolition and replacement of approximately 910 square feet of pavement section across two areas, installation of minor concrete vertical curbing, placement of aggregate base, and the replacement of the concrete base and V-track for an existing vehicle gate. The agency has also included an additive bid alternate for the installation of an automatic vehicle gate operator equipped with vehicle detector loops. The contract term is for a period of one year. Eligible bidders must be onshore entities located within the United States. The agency is requesting proposals to determine the budget and cost for the project, and the performance of the work will take place offsite.
