Audit Services

The City of Herculaneum, Missouri, is seeking professional auditing services to evaluate and express an opinion on its financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. This engagement includes the option to extend auditing services for each of the subsequent four fiscal years. The selected auditor will prepare the necessary information for the management discussion and analysis, financial statements, footnotes, and required supplementary information for the annual audit report. The agency requires the auditor to express an opinion on the financial statements for all funds and prepare all required schedules and disclosures. The auditor is also responsible for communicating and interpreting any changes in governmental reporting standards. The agency will evaluate proposals based on past performance, appropriate references, and prior auditing experience in other municipalities and counties. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency expects the selected provider to perform all audit work offsite. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is currently looking for cost proposals to determine the financial scope.
