Bat Roosting Habitat Suitability Analysis Service

The agency is seeking a consultant to perform a bat roosting habitat suitability analysis and develop a comprehensive Habitat Suitability Assessment map and report. This project aims to guide innovative approaches for assessing habitat and identifying meaningful mitigation efforts when project activities impact bat populations. The agency requires the protection and restoration of special status species and sensitive habitats while monitoring the effectiveness of resource management practices. The scope of work involves reviewing existing reports, species observation data from the Mispen database, district-wide surveys, and NABat data. The consultant must integrate fine-scale vegetation mapping and various GIS layers, including canopy cover, elevation models, and canopy height. The agency will provide internal GIS layers such as preserve service roads, fuel management polygons, and known roost locations to support the analysis. Bidders must be based onshore within the United States. The project requires a combination of onsite and offsite performance over a one-year contract period. The agency expects the consultant to address the prevention of human-caused impacts, including erosion, non-native species invasion, and the displacement of wildlife. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 23, 2026. All questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted by June 30, 2026.
