The Lakeland, Florida transit agency is seeking a legal firm to provide comprehensive legal services to its board of directors and chief executive officer. The agency needs legal counsel to advise on the preparation of legal documents, render legal opinions, and represent the district before city, county, and other public governing bodies. The selected firm will also negotiate and approve contracts, attend regular and special board of commissioners meetings, prepare resolutions, and represent the district in court proceedings. The agency is limiting eligibility to onshore organizations based in the United States. The designated legal firm will perform the requested work offsite. Bidders must submit proposals digitally via email or online, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget. The agency is establishing a contract period of three years for these legal services. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will take place on June 25, 2026, to address preliminary inquiries. Bidders must submit all clarification questions no later than July 9, 2026.
