Scheduled Drydocking and Capital Improvements Service

The government authority located in Marin, California is seeking scheduled drydocking and capital improvements services for its vessel. The agency requires all work to be performed under its supervision and to its complete satisfaction in accordance with good marine practice. Any items inadvertently omitted from the plans and specifications that are necessary and usual to a complete vessel must be supplied as part of this contract. The scope of work covers alterations of the tonnage frames below the main deck and alterations of any aspect of the existing tonnage openings, including hardware. The project also includes the installation of any permanent structure or objects within thirty inches of a tonnage opening. Finally, the agency requires alteration of the bilge system serving the ballast tanks, as well as the addition or alteration of pipe or cable penetrations through the boundaries of ballast tanks. Bidders must obtain prior approval from the owner's design agent for any material or equipment changes that may adversely affect the system design. Changes to equipment locations based on conditions onboard the vessel or foundation requirements require prior approval from the agency representative. Eligible bidders must be onshore entities located in the United States, and all work must be performed onsite. The contract period will be for one year. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget. A pre-bid meeting will take place on June 16, 2026, and bidders must submit all questions no later than June 23, 2026.
