Professional Engineering Services

The Village of Western Springs, Illinois is seeking professional engineering services to support future capital and infrastructure projects. The Village requires assistance with pre-design investigations, project component design, and the preparation of all drawings and specifications necessary to comply with local, state, and federal requirements. The selected engineer will also estimate construction costs and assist Village staff or administrative consultants with construction bid packages, bid advertising, bid tabulations, and the award process. The scope of work covers construction-phase services, including conducting preconstruction conferences, field staking, on-site construction supervision, and preparing inspection reports. The engineer must perform general services during construction such as reviewing submittals, shop drawings, requests for information, change orders, and contractor payment requests. Upon project completion, the engineer must conduct final inspections and testing, and provide reproducible as-built plan drawings to the Village. The Village also requires residential and commercial engineering site development plan reviews, as well as utility company right-of-way permit reviews. All work must be performed on-site, and eligibility is restricted to onshore, United States organizations only. The Village is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget for these services.
