On-Demand Transportation Service

The government authority in Minneapolis, Minnesota is seeking a vendor to provide a gap cab on-demand transportation service. The agency requires a dedicated phone line or number for the school district to coordinate these services. Vehicles must arrive at schools at the scheduled arrival times in both the morning and the afternoon. Drivers may not release students at the school prior to the scheduled morning arrival time. The service allows the combination of non-sibling students attending different schools on a single trip, provided it does not impact scheduled arrival or departure times. The agency requires daily access to no load reporting from the provider. The selected vendor must notify the district of all accidents and incidents involving personal injury or property damage within twenty-four hours via a completed accident report. The agency also requires immediate notification of all complaints and allegations involving drivers and personnel, followed by a completed incident report within twenty-four hours. All vehicles providing service to the district must have operational GPS units and dual-facing cameras installed. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The performance of the transportation work must take place onsite in the Minneapolis area. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget for this service.
