Ambulance Billing and Collection Services

The agency is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive ambulance billing and collection services. The selected vendor must download all billable transport and treatment records directly from the electronic care report system. Before beginning the billing process, the vendor must review all downloaded data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. The scope of work requires preparing and submitting claims to Medicare, Medicaid, private insurers, and self-pay patients. The vendor must manage all collections and payment processing, which includes tracking patient payment plans. Additionally, the vendor must deposit all collected funds directly into the bank account of each applicable fire and ambulance company. The agency requires the vendor to communicate, well in advance, any changes to rates, reporting requirements, or laws that affect ambulance billing and reporting. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency will allow the performance of the work to take place either onsite or offsite. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget for this initiative. The contract period will span three years. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 15, 2026.
