Public Transportation Operating Services

The Carson, Nevada government authority is seeking a contractor to provide public transportation operating services. The agency needs a partner to handle system management, performance, monitoring, service activities, and customer relations. The selected contractor must also cooperate with and support the city-led marketing, public relations, and media relations efforts. The scope of work requires the contractor to establish a legal entity incorporated to do business in the State of Nevada for the purpose of employing personnel. While the city has established fare distribution and collection processes, the contractor remains entirely responsible for the operation, monitoring, auditing, and reporting of the transit system. Designated city staff will provide oversight and support but will not assume any of the contractor's operational responsibilities. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is requesting proposals to determine the budget and expects the performance of the work to be conducted offsite. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 17, 2026.
