General Liability Claims Administration Services

The County is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive general liability claims administration services. The selected vendor will perform supervisory, administrative, and adjustment services on all general liability claims falling within the self-insured retained limit of the agency. Additionally, the contractor will coordinate with applicable insurance carriers regarding claims that exceed this limit. The scope of work requires the contractor to assume the adjusting of all existing open claims to closure, which includes approximately 245 general liability claims. The contractor must adjust and maintain claims files upon receipt of a claim, lawsuit, or other equivalent information, and negotiate with claimants or plaintiffs on cases with clear agency liability. Other responsibilities include managing claims data administration, conducting periodic reviews and adjustments of reserves on all open liability claims at least every 60 days, and monitoring loss runs for litigation. The contractor will act as the primary point of contact for the County regarding communications with insurance carriers, which involves coordinating, obtaining, and sending responses to carrier information requests. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. All contracted work will be performed offsite, and the agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget.
