The City of Pasadena, California, is seeking a qualified firm of certified public accountants to perform a verification audit of the municipal energy commission. The agency needs to audit and verify the utility's Power Content Label to maintain regulatory compliance, public trust, and transparency with customers, governing bodies, and regulatory agencies. This audit addresses the critical need for accurate reporting amidst increasing public and regulatory focus on greenhouse gas emissions, renewable energy procurement, energy market transactions, and environmental claims associated with electricity generation and delivery. The scope of work covers the verification of energy procurement and resource mix data, specified and unspecified power source classifications, and renewable energy and Renewable Energy Credit reporting. The selected firm must also audit greenhouse gas intensity and ensure consistency with all applicable reporting requirements and templates. The agency requires the selected firm to perform all work offsite at the firm's own office location. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based solely in the United States.
