Auditing Services

The City of Hanahan in Berkeley County, South Carolina, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide professional auditing services for its municipal financial records. The agency requires an independent audit of its computerized financial accounting records, which are maintained using the Smart Fusion Accounting Systems. This initiative will resolve the agency's need for annual regulatory and financial oversight of its two primary funds, the General Fund and the Capital Fund. The scope of work covers the auditing of nine distinct municipal departments, which the agency separately accounts and budgets for, including Administration, Municipal Court, Non-Departmental, Public Works, Telecommunications, Police, Building and Codes, Fire, and Recreation and Parks. The selected auditor must perform all work offsite at the vendor's own office location. The agency operates on a fiscal year running from July 1st to June 30th and commits to closing and balancing all accounts for all funds by approximately the third week of November each year for the auditor's examination. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is currently looking for proposals to determine the cost of services. Bidders must submit all clarifying questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 18, 2026.
