Student Stipends Fiscal Agent Service

The government authority located in Providence, Rhode Island is seeking a vendor to serve as a fiscal agent for the payment of student stipends. The agency needs to solve the administrative challenge of managing and distributing these payments efficiently to students completing internships and programs. The selected vendor will process each stipend request within two business weeks and provide the agency with a detailed list of students alongside their corresponding stipend amounts. The scope of work requires the vendor to conduct virtual or in-person orientation sessions for students and families to review internship readiness and necessary paperwork. To accommodate students who are ineligible for standard payroll due to the lack of a Social Security Number, the vendor must offer alternative compensation options such as gift cards. All performance of this work will occur offsite. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in the United States.
