Fiscal Compliance Audit Service

The Petersburg Borough government authority in Petersburg, Alaska is seeking proposals from qualified Certified Public Accounting firms to perform fiscal and compliance audit services. The agency requires these services for the fiscal years ending September 30, 2026, through September 30, 2028, with options to extend the contract for the 2029 and 2030 fiscal years. The selected firm must utilize the agency's existing AccuFund financial management accounting system to conduct the work. The scope of work requires the auditor to begin audit fieldwork no later than October 31 of each year and complete and issue each annual audit within 90 days of the fiscal year-end. The auditor must facilitate the preparation of the financial statements and conduct all required testing of federal awards. Additionally, the auditor must submit the completed reporting package to the Federal Audit Clearinghouse. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations located within the United States. The agency requires all performance of the work to be conducted offsite. The initial contract period will be for one year, and the agency is currently looking for budget proposals to determine the cost of the services.
