External Audit Services

The government authority located in San Diego, California requires an external auditor to examine its annual comprehensive financial statements and issue an independent auditor's opinion in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. The agency is also seeking a financial and compliance audit under the Single Audit Act of 1984 to satisfy Uniform Guidance requirements. Additionally, the selected provider must deliver special audits and general consultation regarding proper accounting treatments, compliance, and financial reporting matters. The scope of work includes issuing a management letter that addresses any noncompliance with agency procedures, provides realistic recommendations for internal control improvements, and details other findings identified during the audit. The provider must also report these findings directly to the audit oversight committee. All audit work must be performed onsite at the agency's facilities in San Diego. Eligibility is limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is looking for budget proposals to determine the cost of these services, and bidders can submit their responses digitally via email or online.
