Appliance Combination System

The government authority located in Laramie, Wyoming is seeking a vendor to provide an appliance combination system. The agency is trying to solve the problem of electrical surges, potential fire hazards, and excessive electrical draw from multiple appliances in a single space. To address these issues, the agency requires a system with specific safety and integration features that limit the maximum electrical draw to eleven amps. The scope of work covers the delivery of a combination unit featuring an internal, tamper-proof smoke sensor embedded inside the microwave cabinet that automatically shuts down the microwave if smoke is detected. The unit must also feature a front-facing triple charging station with two USB ports and one traditional three-prong outlet. Additionally, the system must utilize third-generation safe plug technology to shut off the refrigerator and charging station when the microwave is in use, and use a one-plug-to-the-wall design where the refrigerator plugs into the back of the microwave. The agency requires the combination unit to be UL-listed as both a single unit and a combination appliance, with a nine-amp microwave power limit to prevent surges to appliances over ten amps. Bidders must perform the work offsite and must be located onshore within the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to establish a contract period that will run for one year.
