Enhancing Sustainable Emergency Medical Services

The government authority in South Dakota is seeking a vendor to enhance and transform its sustainable emergency medical services. This initiative aims to solve critical challenges in rural healthcare delivery, workforce sustainability, and regional emergency response coordination. The agency wants to implement a comprehensive approach that addresses clinical quality improvement, financial sustainability, community-based care models, and integration across healthcare and public safety partners. The scope of work covers five key areas to modernize the regional emergency infrastructure. These areas include stakeholder coordination expectations, workforce development, leadership, and EMS system sustainability. Additionally, the project requires specialized equipment and technology integration, regional EMS coordination with shared resources and integrated dispatch systems, and clinical quality improvement alongside EMS performance oversight. Eligible applicants must be onshore United States organizations with demonstrated experience, expertise, or operational responsibility in EMS, rural healthcare delivery, public safety, workforce development, healthcare technology integration, clinical quality improvement, or regional emergency response coordination. All performance of the work will take place offsite. The agency is looking for budget proposals to determine the cost of the project, and bidders must submit all questions no later than June 15, 2026.
