RFI for Virtual Emergency Care Service

The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision in Albany, New York, is seeking information to identify vendors capable of providing a virtual emergency care service. The agency needs to solve the challenge of providing immediate, round-the-clock medical evaluations for incarcerated individuals without requiring unnecessary physical transfers to outside hospitals. This service must ensure continuous, real-time access to experienced emergency medicine expertise twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and three hundred sixty-five days a year. The scope of work requires a telemedicine platform capable of supporting a volume of up to one thousand two hundred potential emergencies per month. The system must facilitate seamless, real-time interactions among the vendor's emergency medicine providers, the incarcerated individuals, and the agency's onsite medical staff. All services and performance of the work must occur offsite. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish budget expectations and has not disclosed a pre-determined funding limit.
