Physician Services

The Genesee County Youth Corporation, a government authority located in Flint, Michigan, is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive physician services for its Center. The agency needs to ensure that all admitted clients receive timely and professional medical care, including medical examinations conducted no later than seven calendar days after admission. This initiative solves the agency's need for continuous medical oversight, routine treatment, emergency consultations, annual physical examinations, and supervised hospital care for its clients. The scope of work requires the contractor to provide up to two hours per week of onsite medical services at mutually agreeable times, supplemented by twenty-four-seven on-call phone coverage. Onsite duties include reviewing, monitoring, and overseeing medical records for each eligible client to ensure sound and reasonable medical practices, as well as reporting any medical department concerns to the Center Director. The contractor must also document all services rendered, provide other requested medical services in a timely manner, and deliver required testimony if subpoenaed for court or hearings regarding any client. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based entirely in the United States. The agency requires the performance of all physical medical services to take place onsite at the Flint, Michigan facility. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget and financial structure for this initiative. The contract period will span two years from the date of award.
