Inmate Medical Services

The City of Las Vegas, Nevada, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a comprehensive inmate medical and dental care delivery system. The agency requires a system that renders necessary health care twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, to all inmates in the custody of the chief. This initiative aims to solve the problem of maintaining community-standard healthcare within the detention facility while ensuring full compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The scope of work covers both on-site and off-site medical services, including mobile X-ray and on-site digital X-ray capabilities. The selected provider must supply a medical director to work eight hours per week on-site and a psychologist to work forty hours per week on-site. Additionally, the agency requires emergency medical services for employees injured on the job and for visitors at the facility, a medical staff recruitment plan, and comprehensive medical record keeping. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget and has not disclosed a pre-determined funding limit.
