Passenger Shuttle Buses Service

The government authority located in San Antonio, Texas is seeking a vendor to provide passenger shuttle buses service. The agency requires two wheelchair-accessible buses to support its transportation needs. The contract period for this service will be for one year. The agency requires specific safety and interior equipment for the vehicles. Each bus must feature a standard State of Texas School Bus First Aid Kit securely mounted near the driver's seat and one five-pound dry type, ABC-rated fire extinguisher also mounted near the driver's seat. The rear window must feature a Van Guard or equal Fresnel Lens, and the vehicles must include a back-up alarm meeting the requirements of SAR J994B or its latest revision. Additionally, the buses must have window alarms to indicate if any windows are broken or opened. The interior specifications require an OEM rear view day/night mirror and an additional six-inch by nine-inch convex passenger mirror mounted to the right of the OEM mirror. Passenger windows must be a minimum of thirty-six inches high and either eighteen and one-half inches, thirty-six inches, or forty-five inches wide, depending on the body length. The vehicles must also include a side view transition window of approximately two hundred square inches of viewing glass located behind the driver. Bidders must perform all work onsite in the United States, as the agency limits eligibility to onshore vendors. The agency is looking for proposals to establish the budget for this project. The agency will host a pre-bid meeting on June 2, 2026.
