The scope of work covers administrative processes for new admissions, discharges, and temporary absences such as hospital leaves. The agency requires cold chain management for refrigerated medications, emergency medication supply protocols, and disaster recovery procedures. Additionally, the vendor must provide a consultant pharmacist for clinical pharmacy services, sixteen sharp container holders per cart, and two hundred and twenty-four 500ml bottles of TENA liquid body wash for residents once a month. The requested services include robust emergency and business continuity planning, which must detail a backup pharmacy or secondary dispensing location. The agency requires specific procedures to ensure medication continuity during pandemics or outbreaks, IT downtime protocols including paper medication administration record fallback procedures, and courier or delivery service failure contingencies. The provider must also outline drug shortage management and escalation processes, alongside emergency formulary substitution protocols. Bidders must perform all work offsite and must be located onshore within Canada. The agency is seeking proposals to determine the budget for this initiative. The contract period will span one year, and bidders must submit all questions no later than May 22, 2026.
