Scheduled Drydocking and Capital Improvements Service

The government authority located in Marin, California is seeking scheduled drydocking and capital improvements services for its vessel. The agency requires all work to be performed under its supervision and to its complete satisfaction in accordance with good marine practice. Any items inadvertently omitted from the plans and specifications that are necessary and usual to a complete vessel must be supplied as part of the contract. The scope of work covers alterations of the tonnage frames below the main deck and alterations of any aspect of the existing tonnage openings, including hardware. The project also requires the installation of permanent structures or objects within thirty inches of a tonnage opening, alterations of the bilge system serving the ballast tanks, and the addition or alteration of pipe or cable penetrations through the boundaries of ballast tanks. Material or equipment changes that may adversely affect the system design require approval from the owner's design agent prior to installation, and changes to equipment locations require prior approval from the agency representative. Eligible bidders must be onshore entities located within the United States. The performance of the work must take place onsite at the designated location. The agency is looking for proposals to establish the budget for this one-year contract. The agency will hold a pre-bid meeting on June 16, 2026. Bidders must submit all questions no later than June 23, 2026.
