Professional Engineering Services

The Village of Western Springs, Illinois is seeking professional engineering services to support future capital and infrastructure projects. The Village requires assistance with conducting pre-design investigations, designing project components, and preparing all drawings and specifications in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements. The selected engineer will also estimate construction costs, assist with construction bid packages, and supervise the bidding, advertising, and award processes. The scope of work covers field staking, on-site construction supervision, preparing inspection reports, and conducting preconstruction conferences. The engineer will perform general services during construction, which include reviewing submittals, shop drawings, requests for information, change orders, and contractor payment requests. Additional responsibilities include conducting final inspections, providing reproducible as-built plan drawings, reviewing residential and commercial site development plans, and reviewing utility company right-of-way permits. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The performance of all engineering and supervisory work will take place onsite in Western Springs. Bidders must submit their proposals digitally via email or online, and the Village is currently looking for proposals to establish the project budget.
