Animal Control Facility Improvements Service

The City of Turlock, California, is seeking a contractor to perform facility improvements at its animal control facility. The agency needs to address deteriorating infrastructure by repairing select metal animal enclosures and replacing the exterior doors and hardware at the kennel buildings. Additionally, the project requires upgrading the interior of the office building by replacing the flooring, wall base, and an existing shower with a prefabricated unit. The scope of work also covers security and civil improvements to the facility grounds. The contractor must install a closed-circuit television security camera system to monitor the premises. Exterior work includes the demolition and replacement of approximately 910 square feet of pavement section across two areas, the replacement of the concrete base and V-track for an existing vehicle gate, and minor concrete vertical curb and aggregate base installation. The agency has also included an additive bid alternate for the installation of an automatic vehicle gate operator equipped with vehicle detector loops. Eligible bidders must perform the work onshore within the United States, though the agency classifies the performance of the work as offsite. The agency is requesting proposals to establish the budget and will award a contract with a performance period of one year.
