Municipal Airport Professional Architectural Engineering Services

The City of Sierra Vista, Arizona, is seeking a qualified airport engineering and architectural consulting firm to provide professional services for its municipal airport. The agency requires assistance with scoping, design, bidding or negotiation, and construction administration for several potential airport improvement projects. This initiative aims to address infrastructure maintenance, safety upgrades, and landside development support at the municipal facility. The scope of work covers the installation of new Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) sensors to improve weather monitoring. The selected firm will design and oversee the construction of a pavement preservation project on Runway 12-30 and a connector taxiway to Runway 30, as well as a pavement rehabilitation project on the concrete apron. Additionally, the project includes designing and constructing access, parking, aprons, taxiways, and utility improvements to support landside development on the north side of the airport, alongside general pavement maintenance identified in a recent pavement assessment. Eligible bidders must be onshore United States organizations. The agency requires the performance of all contracted work to take place onsite at the municipal airport. The contract period will span one year, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget.
