Construction Engineering Inspection Services

The City of Homestead, Florida is seeking a vendor to provide construction engineering inspection services. The agency requires comprehensive project administration and coordination, which includes attending and documenting pre-construction, progress, and coordination meetings. The selected vendor must also maintain communication with the contractor, utility agencies, and regulatory entities while managing all project records and correspondence. The scope of work covers roadway construction inspection, underground utility installation inspection, landscaping and irrigation system inspection, and signage and traffic signal installation inspection. For the roadway portion, the agency requires monitoring of pavement placement, thickness verification, density testing, surface tolerances, and verification of ADA-compliant features. Utility inspections require witnessing pressure, mandrel, and infiltration/exfiltration testing, along with photo and video documentation. Landscaping inspections involve verifying sod, shrubs, trees, and groundcover compliance, while signage inspections cover regulatory, warning, and guide signs. Eligible bidders must perform all work onsite within the United States. The agency is establishing a contract period of one year.
