Private Construction of Public Utilities Inspections Development Services

The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority is seeking a vendor to provide private construction of public utilities inspections development services in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The agency requires these services to ensure the proper management, inspection, and GPS documentation of utility construction projects. The selected contractor will perform all work onsite over a one-year contract period. The scope of work spans three distinct tasks. For the first task, the contractor must assist in providing information regarding the provisions and intent of the construction contract documents. Under the second task, the contractor must furnish a construction inspector to assist the construction manager in observing the progress and quality of the work, and this inspector must maintain daily reports of site activities using Trimble Unity Construct, ensuring all fields are complete and photographs are uploaded. The third task requires the contractor to provide GPS survey coordinates and other data via a GPS deliverable, perform spot checks for elevation throughout the project lifecycle, and log and maintain all field-collected GPS survey data electronically.
