Health Insurance Information, Counseling and Assistance Program services

The Livingston County Office for the Aging in Geneseo, New York, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide unbiased, efficient, and cost-effective Health Insurance Information, Counseling, and Assistance Program services. The agency aims to increase the financial independence of Medicare beneficiaries and improve their ability to understand available options and choices. This program assists community-based older adults aged sixty and over, as well as younger individuals who are eligible for Medicare, with their health insurance information and counseling needs. The project covers providing eligible individuals with current and up-to-date information regarding Medicare-related issues and opportunities. The selected vendor must define the specific problems individuals are experiencing and provide comparative analyses of supplemental insurances and prescription drug coverage. To the extent practicable, the vendor must perform appropriate follow-up to ensure that the older adults receive the needed services and remain aware of available opportunities. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires the performance of all contracted work to occur offsite. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for cost proposals from interested bidders.
