Professional Engineering Consulting Services

The Capital District Transportation Authority in Albany, New York is seeking professional engineering consulting services to improve four intersections along a designated agency street near Riverside Park. The agency is trying to solve challenges related to safety, accessibility, connectivity, speed reduction, wayfinding, green infrastructure, transit and bicycle facilities, and pedestrian traffic signals. The selected contractor must perform all work onsite in Albany, New York. The scope of work requires the contractor to conduct data collection, analysis, and surveys to produce an existing conditions report. The contractor must then develop schematic designs and alternative analyses, which will include maps, tables, data, and written discussions. Following public meetings, the contractor will develop preliminary designs for each of the four intersections based on the preferred schematic design selection. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is looking for budget proposals from bidders to determine the cost of the project. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 23, 2026.
