Student Book Distribution Program Service

Carlsbad Municipal Schools is seeking competitive negotiations to establish a Student Book Distribution Program Service for kindergarten through fifth-grade students in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The agency aims to improve student literacy skills by supplying engaging, developmentally appropriate books that match individual reading levels and interests. This program must enable students to independently select high-interest, age-appropriate books, which will be delivered directly to their homes throughout the 2026–2027 school year for students to keep as personal home libraries. The scope of work requires the selected contractor to provide a curated catalog of diverse, culturally responsive, and age-appropriate titles, including fiction, nonfiction, bilingual, and multi-genre options. The catalog must accommodate early, emerging, independent, and advanced readers, supported by a transparent content review and curation process. The contractor must also provide a secure, user-friendly, and multilingual ordering platform, optional personalized recommendation tools, and comprehensive customer support for families and school staff. Eligible bidders must perform all work offsite within the United States. The agency is requesting proposals to determine the budget and will award a contract for a one-year period.
