Accounting Support Services

The government authority located in Alhambra, California is seeking accounting support services to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. The agency needs to strengthen its internal controls, prepare for audits, and receive general governmental accounting assistance. The selected provider will perform regular reviews of agency accounting, financial policies, and payroll data to confirm that internal controls are in place and followed by personnel. The scope of work covers ongoing mentoring, training, and technical support for the Business Manager to enable that position to assume increased responsibility for day-to-day accounting functions. The provider will assist the Director and Business Manager with financial forecasting for budget development, bookkeeping, bi-weekly payroll journal entries, retirement processing, and preparation for the annual review. Additionally, the work requires reconciling and overseeing District accounts, including interest, credit card, payroll, and retirement accounts. Eligible bidders must be located onshore within the United States. The agency requires the performance of all work to be completed offsite. The contract period will span one year, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget.
