Materials Testing and Special Inspection Services

The Housing Authority of the City of Stamford, Connecticut requires materials testing and special inspection services to ensure a construction project meets the original design intent and complies with all applicable codes. The selected firm will recommend additional testing and inspection strategies, perform site visits to observe building components and system installations, and inspect pertinent mock-ups. The scope of work also includes developing field reports for all site visits, attending selected planning and job-site meetings, and reviewing construction meeting minutes for revisions or substitutions. While the firm may assist with problem-solving and resolving non-conformance or deficiencies, the ultimate responsibility for resolution resides with the construction manager at risk and the design team. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget for these services.
