Safety Shoes and Boots Supplies

The University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Rhode Island requires safety shoes and boots supplies on an as-needed basis for approved employees. The agency is seeking to establish a reliable supply of men's safety boots and shoes in sizes 8 through 13, and women's safety boots and shoes in sizes 6 through 11. All offered footwear must be available in Medium, Wide, and Extra Wide widths and must carry an Electrical Hazard rating. The scope of work requires the provider to supply either a standard bid shoe or a bid boot to authorized personnel. Employees may elect to upgrade or choose non-bid styles, for which the agency will cover up to $125 of the cost. The selected vendor must invoice the agency only up to the $125 limit for these alternative styles and collect any remaining balance directly from the employee at the time of purchase. The agency requires that the inventory list coincide exactly with the submitted pricing and coding. All provided merchandise must carry a full warranty for six months from the date of receipt. The agency will not pay any fees for shipping, handling, ordering, returns, or restocking. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. Performance of the work will take place onsite in Kingston, Rhode Island. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not disclosed a specific pre-set funding limit.
