The Housing Commission of Howard County, Maryland, is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive fee accounting and consulting services. The agency needs to identify financial misclassifications or missing accounts and requires recommendations for mapping improvements. The selected partner will prepare monthly financial statement analyses for assigned properties, which includes reviewing depreciation and investigating significant variances between actual results and budgets. The scope of work requires monitoring delinquency trends across thirty, sixty, and ninety-plus days, as well as tracking vacancy levels based on reports from third-party management companies. The agency also requires assistance with reviewing, preparing, and revising operating budgets for assigned properties, including mapping these budgets to the Commission's Yardi chart of accounts. Additionally, the provider must deliver internal auditing services upon request and assist with compiling materials for the Commission's annual financial audit. Bidders must perform all work offsite and must be located onshore within the United States. The agency is establishing a contract period of one year.
