Administration and Restricted Firearms Safety Course Service

The Alberta Chief Firearms Office in Edmonton requires a vendor to manage the ongoing administration and coordination of the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course. The selected partner will oversee program administration and service delivery, which includes managing the existing pool of certified instructors, supporting instructor recruitment, screening, coordinating training, and assisting with designation and re-designation. Additionally, the scope of work covers quality assurance, reporting, distributing authorized course materials, and demonstrating the capacity to support program delivery in rural, remote, and Indigenous communities. The contract term spans a period of three years, and the vendor will perform the required work offsite. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in Canada. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and financial structure of the agreement. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 15, 2026, to address initial inquiries regarding the opportunity. Bidders must submit all clarification questions no later than June 25, 2026.
