Property Value Study Appeal and Taxable Value Audit Services

The United States-based government authority located in Laredo, Texas is seeking comprehensive auditing, consulting, and property value study appeal services. The agency needs to audit the preliminary findings of the Texas Comptroller, review local appraisal district records, and identify clerical errors, undervalued properties, and improperly granted exemptions. To solve these valuation discrepancies, the agency requires a partner to prepare, file, and prosecute all necessary administrative appeals, protests, and requests for audits with the Texas Comptroller’s Property Tax Assistance Division. The scope of work covers representing the district at informal hearings, formal hearings, and administrative review proceedings, as well as providing litigation support. The selected partner must provide regular updates regarding appeal status, potential financial impacts, and final value determinations to the Chief Financial Officer, the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Finance, the Tax Assessor Collector, and the Superintendent. Performance of all contract work will take place offsite over a one-year contract period. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States.
